Richard G. Doyle,78, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away in the care of his beloved wife on November 3, 2022.
Richard was born June 21, 1944 in Jersey City, NJ to James and Margherite Doyle. Richard married his loving wife, Margaret in Bayonne in 1969.
Richard joined the United States Army right after High School. He earned the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Medal while he served with the Military Police. When Richard returned home after his service, he joined the Bayonne Police Department in 1974. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1986 and retired in 2003. Continuing to serve his community Richard joined American Legion Post 318 and the Police Benevolent Association.
Known by his friends as “Digger Doyle”, Richard loved spending time with friends and fishing. Richard was also devoted to his family.
Survivors include his beloved Margaret; daughters, Jennifer and husband Brian Rosa and their children, Andrew, Joshua and Caleb; Karyn and her husband John Kobylarz and their daughter, Karynna; brother, Michael Doyle and sister-in-law, Kathryn Doyle; nieces Kimberly Jeanos and Kathy Doyle; sister-in-law, Judie and her husband Ed Mizerek as well as many other family members.
He was predeceased by his parents, Margherite and George Doyle; brothers, James, Daniel and Martin Doyle.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 10AM to 11AM with a service to begin at 11AM at the Haisley Funeral Home and Cremation Center Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery in Fort Pierce, FL.
