Robert “Bob” L. Mabry, 78 of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away January 25, 2022.
Bob was born February 4, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Effie Mabry. After graduating from Fitzgerald High School, he joined the United States Army and served proudly from 1962 to 1965. After leaving the Army, he joined the Chrysler Corporation as a Material Handler and would work for them until his retirement in 1998.
Bob married his love, Cheryl O’Neal in Warren, Michigan September 9, 1967. Together they would raise a family in Warren, then moved to Clinton Township, Michigan. Bob and Cheryl moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2020 and were dedicated members of Calvary Church. He was also active in the King’s Isle Community Association. His favorite pastimes were woodworking and golf.
Survivors include devoted wife of 54 years, Cheryl Mabry of Port St. Lucie, Florida; daughter, Julie McNally of Traverse City, Michigan; son, Jeff Mabry of Chesterfield, Michigan; grandchildren, Shannon McNally of Traverse City, Michigan, Evan Mabry of Clinton Township, Michigan, Ryan McNally of Traverse City, Michigan, and Austin Mabry of Chesterfield, Michigan; great-granddaughter, Harmony Borbor of Traverse City, Michigan; siblings, JoAnn Pennington of Rochester Hills, MI, Linna Burley of Clinton Township, MI, Dave (Roberta) Mabry of St. John, IN; John (Irene) Mabry of Sterling Heights, MI, Peggy (Mark) Layton of Westminster, CO, Phyllis Raver of Salem, NC, Shirley (Doyle) Wells of Knoxville, TN; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, Joseph P and Effie A. Mabry; sister, Linnia S. Burley; brothers-in-law, Jerry Pennington, Russ Burley, and Bob Raver.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charitable organization or to Treasure Coast Hospice.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 12 PM to 2 PM with the service to begin at 2 PM at the Haisley Tribute Center. Burial will take place at South Florida National Cemetery.
