ADELE HILL OWENS

May 19, 1938 – December 1, 2023

Adele was the 10th child out of 11 born to Albert & Addie Hill, in Hinton, W.VA. in 1938. Her father passed away when she was 3 years old and was raised by her mother and siblings. In 1956 she went to work in an apple packing house in Virginia, where she saw John Owens for the first time and fell in Love. Two years later she married the Love of her Life on October 25th, 1958, in Hinton, W.VA. Their life together for the next 62 years began. Together they had three wonderful children, Eight grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren. They traveled the countryside as John was a Produce Broker for several packing houses.  While traveling from coast to coast, their family journey began.

Teresa Sue was born in 1959 (Homestead, FL). Along came Brenda Jean in 1962 (Staunton, VA). John Randall was born in Fort Pierce in 1970 (Fort Pierce, FL).  They settled in Fort Pierce, FL in 1964. Mom was so proud of her family and watching them grow! She worked tirelessly to provide for her Family. She dedicated her Life to God, Family and Friends. Mom attended Bethel Baptist Church for 50 years. Rest in Peace Mama your Loving Family.  Together again for “eternity” with the Love of Your Life! Like Daddy said, “MY WIFE”! We hope you’re Dancing!

Survivors include: daughters, Teresa (Richard) Beville and Brenda Keeney all of Fort Pierce, FL; son, John (Shelly) Owens of Fayetteville, GA; sister Sadie (Art) Burney of Fort Pierce, FL; brother Wilson Hill of Cleveland, OH; nephew, Andy (Beverly) Avery of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Telisa (Steven) Campbell of Franklin, VA, Amanda Beville, Bobby (Kimberly) Keeney, Brittney (Jeff) Pederson all of Fort Pierce, FL, Jessica (John) Cappock of Jacksonville, FL, Kali (Grant) Popinga, Gillian Owens and Alec Owens all of Fayetteville, GA; great-grandchildren, Makayla Keeney, Marissa Keeney, Ollie Cappock, Kaye Cappock, Kolton Pederson, Keaton Pederson and Isla Campbell.
