Agnes Roberta (Berta) Mullinix passed away at the age of 92 on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, FL.
She and Leonard moved to Ft.Pierce in 1990 from Cedar Grove, MD, where they made their home for many years. She was born on October 30, 1923 in Claggetsville, MD. She graduated from Frederick High School in Frederick, MD. She married J. Leonard Mullinix in Kemptown, MD on October 24, 1942. Roberta was a member of Damascus United Methodist Church, Damascus, MD and helped cook many a Turkey and Oyster dinner there. She was a Lioness in the Damascus Lions Club where Leonard served as Secretary/Treasurer, Deputy District Governor and District Governor of 22C, and Roberta supported him in all of these endeavors.
Her parents Louis and Bessie Jones predeceased her as well as her sister, Estelle Jones King, her son L. Wayne Mullinix and her husband, J. Leonard Mullinix. Roberta was a wife and a homemaker and an excellent cook. She loved playing Bingo and being with her family.
She is survived by her son J. Larry Mullinix and wife Jan from Damascus, MD, and several nieces, Janet McCloughan and husband David from St. Louis, MO, Nancy Coonrod from Fort Pierce, FL, Debbie Lowman of Damascus, MD and Janet Elaine Runkles and her husband Roger of Damascus, MD, her brother-in-law, William Mullinix and his wife Carol of Clarksburg, MD.
