Alan Blake Ross, 50, died June 25, 2015, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Alan was born in Miami, Florida, and was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for the past five years, coming from Jasper, Florida.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, worked as a Reserve Department Environmental Protection Officer, worked for the Department of Corrections for 20 plus years, retiring as Captain, worked for the Sheriff’s Office of Hamilton County for three years, worked for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office and he loved to fish, work and spend time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ross of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Alan John Ross (Kaitlin) of Live Oak, FL; daughters, Brooke Ross (TJ Vickers) of Jasper, FL and Blakelee Ross of Port St. Lucie, FL; step-daughter, Jessica Platt (Tyson) of Montgomery, AL; step-son, William Mickler (Jess) of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Tobi Platt, Tazen Grantham and Ashlynn Mickler; sisters, Sandra Clayton (Joel Ellis) of Lake Butler, FL and Teresa Ross of New Jersey; step-brothers, Adam Woodham and Shane Halstead of Lake City, FL; step-sister, Angel Garber of Lake City, FL; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mildred and Alfred Ross and brother, Eddie Woodham all of Lake City, FL.
