Albert Ross Ashby, 65, died suddenly Monday, October 24, 2011 in his Fort Pierce, Florida home.
Mr. Ashby was born in Detroit, Michigan where he lived and worked as an agent for the Millwrights and Carpenters Union Local 1102.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He retired and moved to Florida where he enjoyed spending time with his family and reading.
He is survived by his wife Linda Ashby, two sons Stephen and Jason Ashby, two step-daughters Michelle Kovich and Kimberly Moyer, six grandchildren and many many friends.
Memorial contributions in honor of Albert Ross Ashby can be made to Ladder Company #28: Engine Company #21 in Detroit, Michigan for whom his brother John Charles Ashby gave his life in the 1967 riots.
A private memorial will be held at his home.
