Alexander Preston Ford, Jr., 88, died August 23, 2010 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Ford was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1989 coming from Boca Raton, Florida.
He retired from Motorola, Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during WWII, and a graduate of the Auburn University. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanities in Vero Beach and also volunteered at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center as a tram driver. He was a member of the I.R.P.C.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores B. Ford of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Bruce Ford of St. Augustine, FL and Randall (Vickie) Ford of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; daughter, Lynne Ghannoum of Boca Raton, FL; step-children, Debbie Graziano of Dunedin, FL and Chris Compton of Arizona; 2 grandchildren, Jason Ghannoum and Lauren Ford; and 7 step-grandchildren, Frankie, Christin, John, Lindsey, Michael, Alexandra and Wayne, Jr. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Ford, sisters, Mary Alice and Arlene and step-son, Wayne Compton.
