Alfred Lee Morningstar, Jr., age 82, died on September 19, in Fort Pierce, FL.
He was born in Hammond, IN and moved to Fort Pierce in 2009, coming from Munster, IN.
He was a professional engineer for Siemens-Allis, retiring after 40 years. He was a member of South Side Christian Church in Munster, IN, where he taught Adult Bible Class for 23 years, was a graduate of Purdue University and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret “Sue” Morningstar of Fort Pierce; daughters, Nancy (Jeff) Thompson, Amy (Yehuda) Goren of Scotts Valley, CA; son, Michael (Maryann) Morningstar of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren; Patrick (Danielle) Morningstar, Casey Thompson (Erik Wile), Jack Thompson, Sang Thompson, Maggie Morningstar, Jessica Morningstar, Michael Morningstar, Matthew Morningstar; great-grandchildren, Nathan Morningstar, and Kai Morningstar,
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 22, at 3:00 PM, at Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana.
