Alton Ray "Buddy" Waddell

Alton Ray “Buddy” Waddell, 56, died August 11, 2014 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Waddell was born in Norfolk, Virginia and moved to Fort Pierce 15 years ago coming from the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

He was a building contractor. He was the Jaycee of the Year in Dare County, North Carolina from 1988-1989, was Santa Claus for the AmVets Auxillary for parties hosted for the under privileged children of Saint Lucie County, he could build anything, he was a master carpenter and an amazing decorator, and was the most loving son.

Survivors include his mother, Judy Vaughn of Fort Pierce, FL; step-father, Chuck Vaughn of Fort Pierce, FL; father, Hardy Waddell of South Carolina; daughters, Leann Waddell of Smithville, VA and Amy Bruce of Powells Point, NC; fiancé, Jo Hullender of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Denise Waddell and Angela Waddell both of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Ricky Waddell of Moyock, NC; grandchildren, Anna Waddell and Lily Waddell and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his sister, Shiela Waddell.
