Angelo Lopez, age 64, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020.
A native of Mastic Beach, New York. He was a standout athlete at William Floyd High School in baseball and soccer, earning an athletic scholarship to Fulton-Montgomery Community College in upstate New York.
On November 23, 1978 he married his high school sweetheart, Gabriela. In 1980 he relocated to Miami, Florida where he began a career in construction and landscaping, eventually settling in Port St Lucie. He was a provider and example of work ethic as he operated his successful land service business in St Lucie County.
On June 25, 1980 and April 7, 1992 respectively, he welcomed his son Danny and daughter Kim who were the most important parts of his life.
Angelo was a devoted father. He passed on his love of sport to his children where he was often seen on the sidelines for every soccer, baseball, and basketball game. He enjoyed fishing, farming and being outdoors. Angelo’s true joy was spending quality time on his farm with his grandson Rylan. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Angelo is survived by his family; Danny Lopez, Kim Lopez, Gabriela Lopez, and Rylan Lopez.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2: 00 p.m. on December 12 at Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Rd, Fort Pierce.
