Anita Rue White

Anita Rue White, 83, died November 19, 2007 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mrs. White was born in Easton, Maryland and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1965 coming from Ithaca, NY.Anita was a music teacher in Maryland, Delaware and New York for 17 years and also in St. Lucie County for 21 years, from 1965-1986. She was the secretary for Southside Christian Church for 20 years. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church and active in music ministry. Anita was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society for over 45 years.
Survivors include her brother, John “Jack” Rue of Springfield, VA; “instant son”, Jim Thatcher of Castle Rock, CO; brother-in-law, Halton Cropper of Wilmington, DE and nieces and nephews, Nancy Cropper, Alan Cropper, John Rue, Jerry Rue, Connie Rue Hartke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm W. White, sister, Marjorie Cropper and sister-in-law, Helen Rue.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community United Methodist Church Music Fund, 3114 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34947.
Services: A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 5:00 PM at Community United Methodist Church.
