On December 31, 2020, Anna Maria (Mastrianna) Verrastro, age 67, passed away peacefully after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and Mema who will be missed dearly.
Anna Maria was born on September 4, 1953 in Norwalk, Connecticut to the late Ralph and Anna (Tiani) Mastrianna. She lived formally in Norwalk, Connecticut, employed with Tracey Elementary School for 11 years until her retirement and relocation to Florida in 2003. Now, her favorite job was being known as “everyone’s Mema.”
Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband of 38 years Frank Timothy. She is survived by her three daughters: Sara D’Ambrosio (Vincenzo) of East Haven, Connecticut, Maria E. Dalia (Daniel) of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and Melissa L. Verrastro of Port Saint Lucie, FL; her 4 beautiful Grandsons: Domenico, Carmine and Louis D’Ambrosio and Bennett W. Dalia; and Brother, Robert J. Mastrianna of Waynesboro, Virginia.
Other survivors include: Sister-in-Law Virginia Verrastro of Stamford, Connecticut; Sister-in-Law, Concetta Mastrianna of Milford, Connecticut; nieces, Jennifer Mocarski (Prez), Jennifer Verrastro (Fiancé Axel Santos); nephews; Charles, Paul, and Jake Mastrianna; and great-nephew Andrew Mocarski.
Besides her parents and husband, Anna was predeceased by her brothers Louis and Ralph Mastrianna and brother-in-law Leonard Verrastro
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on March 5, 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue in Norwalk, Ct. Her interment will follow at St. John RC Cemetery, in Darien, Ct.
