Anthony J. Marasco

Anthony James Marasco, 41, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away March 2, 2023 at his home with his family.

Anthony was born December 24, 1981 in Rochester, NY. He moved to Port St. Lucie in 2003, after working for several years in Westfield, NJ.

Anthony was passionate BMW Performance Car enthusiast. He loved working on his car, perfecting what he could, adding new improvements making it into a show car. He took his car to many of these events through his years. He was very proud of the car he had built.

He had worked for the Darden Corporation since he was 16 years old, starting at Olive Garden in Springfield, NJ. Learning to cook, moving up the ranks until he secured a position in Port St. Lucie, as a General Manager for Cheddars Scratch Kitchen. He loved to cook, on his days off he watched cooking shows and cars shows most of the time. He would cook anything from Italian, Columbian and Mexican. He loved the Spanish cooking food the most. During the Covid time, he cooked for various First Responder organizations, donating food to them.

Anthony enjoyed the weather of Florida stating he never wanted to go to the cold again; then he would laugh.

He never married, but his best girl was his dog, “Cheyenne,” a German Shepard, he loved with his whole heart.

Anthony had a great sense of humor, and was a very caring and compassionate soul. He helped anyone in need that he could without having to be asked. He would just think, “Hey, they need some help and let me see what I can do.”

Anthony will be forever missed by his mother, Tammy R. Vaisey of Port St. Lucie, FL; Joann Bezdany of Port St. Lucie, FL who was like a second mother to him and extended family in Rochester, NY. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel A. Marasco, also from Rochester, NY.
