Arlene Marye Oates, 66, died July 7, 2011 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Mrs. Oates was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Ft. Pierce 25 years ago coming from Fishkill, New York.
She was a devoted Nana, mother, friend and wife. Her years on earth were a blessing to those who knew her. Her love for her family and children was limitless.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Phillip Oates of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Colleen (J.T.) Murray of Monroe, CT, Marye (Juan) Restrepo of Miramar, FL, and Jaimie (Craig) Smith of Vero Beach, FL; son, Phillip (Jennifer) Oates, III of Ft. Pierce, FL; brothers, Raymond McEnerney of Valley Stream, NY and Gerard McEnerney of Garden City, NY; grandchildren, Jordan, Damon, Payton, J.T., Amelia, Phillip, Alyson, Charlie, and Tommy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Research Hospital, Attn: Memorials, Memphis, TN 38105.
Services: A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
