Arnold “Tiny” Hockaday, 85, died November 29, 2004 in Ft. Pierce, FL.Mr. Hockaday was born in Selmer, Tennessee and moved to Ft. Pierce 56 years ago coming from Selmer, Tennessee.He was the owner/operator of Florida Flower Express of Ft. Pierce from 1963-1975, and Hockaday Trucking & Brokerage from 1975-1993.Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Jewell Hockaday of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda H. & Ed Varnes of Ft. Pierce, FL, daughter and son-in-law, Janet H. & Rick Brautigan of Boca Raton, FL; sister, Dorothy Faye Godfrey of Wellington, FL; grand-daughter and fiancé, Candi Peters and Ronny White of Ft. Pierce, FL; grandson & spouse, Bryan Varnes & Michele of Ft. Pierce, FL; grand-daughter, Tammy Kirkpatrick of Coral Springs, FL; great-grandchildren, Jonnny Peters, Brady Peters, Bryan Varnes II, Dylan Varnes, Troy Kirkpatrick, Taylor Varnes; local nephew, Billy Godfrey of Ft. Pierce, FL; nephew, Don Godfrey of Wellington, FL; niece, Sue Piersak of Wellington, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Boss and Candace Hockaday and great-grandson, Cody West.
