Arthur J. Reyer

Arthur “Artie” J. Reyer, 91, died February 11, 2012 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Reyer was born in Glendale, New York and moved to Ft. Pierce 22 years ago coming from Massapequa Park, New York.
He was a veteran of the US Army who served in WWII, retired from New York Telephone Company after 31 years, was a charter and lifetime member of the Massapequa Elks Lodge #2162, member of St Mark’s Catholic Church, and loved to golf and bowl.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gerry Reyer of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons Robert (Maureen) Reyer of Clifton Park, NY, Thomas (Eva) Reyer of Commack, NY, and Glenn (Patty) Reyer of Ft. Pierce, FL; sister June Huber of Long Island, NY; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Pawel.
Services: A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 5-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday February 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St Mark’s Catholic Church in Ft. Pierce. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
