Aubrey Hess Starcher, 98, died June 6, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Starcher was born in Buckhannon, West Virginia and moved to Ft. Pierce 1936.
He was the owner/operator of Starcher Signs of Ft. Pierce for 42 years. Aubrey served as a Fort Pierce City Commissioner, member of Kiwanis Club for 31 years with perfect attendance, member of First Baptist Church and lifetime Deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred A. Starcher of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Alice S. Obrenovich of Prescott, AZ; stepchildren, Bettie Presnell, Judy Odom, Buddy Allen, Jr. and Bobby Allen all of Ft. Pierce, FL; 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Bean Starcher, and son, Jimmy Starcher.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ft. Pierce, 4500 S. 25th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.
Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be conducted on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
