Audrey Smith Peters, age 85 passed on March 27th. A Vero Beach resident since 1978, having moved from Rhode Island. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Lee Peters M.D., parents, Dr. and Mrs. J. Hunter Smith, and sisters Karen L. Smith and Sandra S. Yerg.
Survivors include Susan Ellis-Peters, her husband Joseph P. Ellis, Barbara A. Peters, Lynn P. Sadler, Bethany P. Stang, brother J. Hunter Smith III, and four wonderful grandchildren Jessamine Ellis, Rachel Mann and Rebecca Smith, Richard Sadler III; three great-grandchildren, nephews James R. Smith, J. Hunter Smith IV and very special niece Sandra Smith Ross and dear R. I. friend Michael Mauro. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, and was a past president of the congregation and an officer of the WELCA. She loved her dog Sugar, art, tennis and the Boston Red Sox.
There will be a private memorial service.
