Ms. Stahnke was born in Ft. Pierce, Florida and moved back from Dallas, Texas in 2002.
Avie retired in 1996 from Real Estate Development. She graduated from Dan McCarty High School and was Sandy Shoes Queen in 1963 and Miss University of Florida in 1961.
Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Maria & Peter Starratt; son, James Hearn IV of Texas; granddaughter, Alli Starratt; nieces, Brenda Smith, Pat Christopher; great-nieces, Lindsay Smith, Tara Nettles; grand-nephew, Duane “Dooner” Christopher and lifelong friend, Jim Hearn all of Ft. Pierce, FL.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 from 5-6 PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home.
