Barbara Tosatti Applegate completed her life's mission on Wed. October 28, 2015.
Mother, Grandmother, Spouse, Sister, Mentor, Companion, Best Friend, and all around Ray Of Sunshine to everyone who knew her. Barbara was devoted to her family, friends, and many volunteer organizations across the mid-Hudson valley. She enjoyed every detour her life took her on from her upbringing in New Britain CT., to her years in Omaha NE., and building a life in Hurley, NY in the Hudson Valley. That included her many years at WGHQ/WBPM radio station and the wide variety of events and people she found there. She was thrilled to find another career at Ulster County Stop DWI where she was part of a team that helped make the community just that much safer.
Barbara was pre-deceased by her parents, George and Edith Tosatti and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins to which she was always very close to. She is survived by her Husband, Frank; Daughter, Danelle (Jim) Dillon; Son, Craig Applegate; Brother George, (Shirley) Tosatti and her niece and nephew; Grandchildren, John Dillon, Kathleen Dillon and Russell Applegate along with a multitude of friends all of whom she enjoyed deeply. While Alzheimer's may dim some faculties it was never a match for her cheerful sunny disposition which shown through every single day.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at the Notre Dame Church in Fort Pierce on Monday November 2, 2015 at 10:30am.
Contributions in her memory if you desire may be made to any Alzheimer's Association.
