Barbara A. Munyan, age 80, of Fort Pierce, Florida, formerly of Gibbstown, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 17, 2014. Born to Lester & Madeline Philipp of Bridgeport, NJ.
She is survived by husband Robert Munyan, daughter LeeAnn (John) Jancuska, son David (Sue) Munyan and brother Donald Philipp. Additional survivors include grand-daughters Devon Vacca, Claire Payne, BethAnn Jancuska, Kelsey Munyan, Beth Jancuska, Lauren Munyan and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her brother Carl Philipp.
Growing up Barbara was active in the St. Paul’s Methodist Church where she was the organist for several years. She was active in PTA and Eastern Star. She enjoyed decorative painting, cooking, baking, sewing, needlepoint and traveling every summer in their motor home. She loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and participate in their activities.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 7 Church Street, Bridgeport, NJ 08014.
The viewing will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 2-3 PM with a service to follow at 3:00 PM at McBride-Foley Funeral Home in Paulsboro, New Jersey. Local arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
