Bella Sankar, 74 years old, of Port Saint Lucie, passed away on Friday January 16, 2015. She was born on May 6, 1940 in Belloman, Trinidad. Bella was the first child to her late parents, Ramsood and Bachoon Maharaj. She had three brothers and three sisters: Boy, Chan, Balaram, Sabita, Poolmatie, and Baby. Bella married Deochan Sankar at seventeen years old and moved to Princes Town where they raised three children: Lily, Sona, and the late Sooganie. Her husband passed away at the age of forty-two. Bella then moved to Guaracara and worked at Princes Town County Council until her retirement when she met the late Rahaman Hossein.
Bella spent the last fifteen years back and forth from Trinidad to America. She was survived by her two children, Lily and Sona. She has six grandchildren: Bigman, Savi, Manoj, Chelci, Brian and Giselle,three great-grand, a son-in-law, Mitra ,daughter-in-law, Grace, and her many nieces and nephews.
