Benny Franklin Johnson, 71, died June 16, 2007 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Mr. Johnson was born in Pisgah, Alabama and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1977 coming from Apopka, Florida.He was a mechanic and welder for Plymouth Citrus and Indian River Food. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Ft. Pierce Moose Lodge and the American Legion. He loved his family, fishing and boating.Survivors include his son’s, Jimmy (Nancy) Johnson, Benny (Pam) Johnson, and Craig (Kathy) Johnson all of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother, James Johnson of Eustis, FL; and 3 grandchildren, Jimmy Dillon Johnson, Matthew McKinley Johnson and Ian Darrell Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank M. Johnson and Susie Hurt and sisters, Arbeautie Rogers and Essie Warren and brother, Buck Johnson.A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from 4-6 PM with a funeral service following at 6 PM at the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will take place Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Sorrento Cemetery in Sorrento, FL.
