Bernard ”Butch” Odell Worley
September 16, 1939 - March 14, 2020
Butch was born in the hills and hollows of Charleston, WV on September 16,1939. He grew up there and wed the love of his life Patricia “Patty” Cart on May 30th, 1958. They moved to Fort Pierce, FL in 1961. They lived, loved and raised their three children here in Fort Pierce where Patty still resides. Butch and his brother Snook were co-owners and operators of Gold Coast Roofing. He had a big heart, and his life touched many people throughout the years. He was a long-time member of First Church of the Nazarene, but started faithfully attending (when health allowed) Liberty Baptist Church on Midway Road more than a decade ago. Butch wanted people to know two things about him: “I love God, and I love my family”. That he loved both there is no doubt. Because he accepted Jesus as his Savior and was covered by the blood we know that Heaven gained another saint on March 14, 2020.
Butch was preceded in death by his father, Plummer Ether Worley; His mother, Edith Frances Hawes Worley; and his brother, Plummer “Snook” Andrew Worley.
Butch is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Sue Cart Worley; brother, Grover “Cleve” Cleveland Worley; his children (and their spouses whom he considered his as well), Steven Odell Worley (Kris), Cathy Marie Worley Greene (Tom), and Tanya Sue Worley Albritton (Eric); grandchildren, Leslie Ann Worley, Matthew Odell Worley, Caitlyn Sue Albritton, Emma Grace Albritton, and Megan Ann Greene; great- grandchildren- Malia and LaNiya Worley; as well as many cousins, brothers and sisters in-laws, nieces/ nephews, and friends.
