Bestai "Bess" Ernestine Bristow Rivenburgh

Bestai "Bess" Ernestine Bristow Rivenburgh, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, loving sister, and friend, passed peacefully on May 13, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on November 16, 1946, in Washington DC, Bess touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lois Bristow. Bess leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Rivenburgh, Charles Rivenburgh, and Christopher (Brenda) Rivenburgh, her daughter Jessica (Jesse) Stone, her sister, Brenda Singley, her grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor Lee, Richard, and Shelby, and her great-grandchildren, Lillian and Kameron.

 Throughout her life, Bess found joy in spending time with her family, baking delicious treats, completing word searches, and nurturing her garden. Her passion for family and home extended beyond her immediate relatives, as she was actively involved in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Bess also received recognition from the Department of the Army for her 25 years of dedicated support as a military wife.

 Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched with her love and feistiness. Bess will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her fiery spirit, and her boundless love for her family.

 A celebration of Bess's life will be held in remembrance of her remarkable journey, her enduring love, and the countless memories she created. Though she may be gone from our sight, her legacy of love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

 Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.  A service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
