Bette Manies Hardman passed from this life on June 16, 2006 at her home in Georgetown, Texas where she lived for five years.Bette was born on August 28, 1935 in McRoberts, Kentucky to parents Lloyd R. and Louise Murphy Manies. Bette went to elementary school in McRoberts, and then graduated from Jenkins High School in Jenkins, Kentucky. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia where she practiced nursing for two years, then continued a very fulfilling practice in Fort Pierce, Florida for forty-two years.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James R. Manies. She is survived by her husband of almost fifty years, Harry S. Hardman II; son, Harry S. Hardman III and wife Marian and their children, Catherine and Christopher; daughter, Leslie Lasiewski and husband Lenny and their children, Claire and Ava; daughter, Tricia Ogden and husband, Mike and their children, Kayla and Ryan all of Georgetown, Texas. She is also survived by her uncle, George Murphy and his wife, Vivian and aunt, Wilma Murphy all of Knoxville, Tennessee.Bette was a faithful and devoted wife, a loving and kind mother, generous and warm Granny and a skilled and conscientious nurse. All who knew her were blessed and honored by the privilege of being part of her life.
