Betty E. Davis, 96, died on January 11, 2025 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mrs. Davis Was born in Washington D.C. on June 7, 1928, to William & Anne Estelle Walker.

Betty moved to Fort Pierce in 1971 and worked as an assistant to Edward Link at Link Port Foundation, Ebners Travel Trailer Mart, Lawyers Title, Barker Airconditioning. Betty became a proud Soldier of the Salvation Army in 1986, when she was then appointed the Director of the Social Services and opened the first Salvation Army Social Services Office in Vero Beach Florida. She was so proud of her Directors position, as she created a Home League Lady’s Group for the Army along with overseeing the Army’s Thrift Store. Betty finished her retirement by translating English Bible Scriptures to different languages for the Wycliffe Foundation in Orlando Florida. 

She created the Sue Lin Doll Hospital in 1972 and the Davis Doll Lady, in 1985 for her love of Making Raggedy Ann’s and Andy’s, Porcelain Dolls, and repairing broken dolls. She loved Traveling and being involved in Events. 

Survivors include her children, David E. Leager of Marshallton, Delaware, Linda L. Sammons, and Susan L. Walker of Fort Pierce, Florida; sister, Barbara Willings of Wilmington, Delaware; her grandchildren, Bryan Bellafore, Michelle Dougherty, Kimberly Weismiller, Heather Ring, Holly Macias, Tracy Bendler, Fallon Tuthill, Sgt. Gerald Yeitter III, and Thor Walker; great-grandchildren, Scott Crawford Jr., Brittany Zent, Rebecca Bellafore, Areona Tuthill, Ryan Ring, Marlin Tuthill, Rianna Ring, Addison Weismiller, Albert Weismiller IV, Juan and Pablo Macias, Nathan Bendler, Camryn Dougherty, Aidan Weismiller, Emilo Macias, Brixton Yeitter, Riley Bendler, and Huxley Yeitter; great-great-grandchildren, Harvey Lynn Bryson, Brody Bryson, Gianna Zent, Vincent Zent, Gracen Crawford, and Arlen Crawford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Anne Estelle Walker, widowed 1st husband, Albert W. Leager, and 2nd husband, Rodney Davis.

Services: Visitation will be held on Friday January 24, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
