Betty Davenport, 76, died February 13, 2010 in Okeechobee, Florida.
Mrs. Davenport was born in St. Cloud, Florida and moved to Okeechobee 47 years ago coming from Hollywood, Florida.
Betty retired after 20 years of dedicated service of working for the county. She was an avid reader and homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Gary (Vicki) Davenport and Bruce Davenport; daughters, Karen Wasniewski and Chris (Blake) Lawrence all of Okeechobee, FL; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; beloved friend, Dorothy Baker; host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Davenport.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Okeechobee, P.O. Box 1548, Okeechobee, FL 34973.
Services: A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Basinger Cemetery, Okeechobee, FL.
