Mrs. Winters was born in Morehead, Kentucky and moved to Okeechobee 40 years ago.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughters, Vickie (Ray) Smothers of Niceville, FL, Peggie Jo (Jack) Hill of Okeechobee, FL and Sandra (David) Altman of Okeechobee, FL; brothers, Kent Evans of Okeechobee, FL, Jimmy (Sandra) Evans of Lake City, FL, Larry (Theresa) Evans of Kissimmee, FL, and Tommy (Mary) Evans of Valdosta, GA; sisters, Judith C. Clifford of Miami, FL and Patty B. Steder of St. Augustine, FL; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Winters, brother, George Evans and sisters, Flo Ella Collins and Bobbi Jo Wells.
Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 4-7 PM at the First Baptist Church, Okeechobee. A service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
