Betty Jo (Brown) Allbritton, 94, went to be with her Lord on January 14, 2023 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
She was born to Richard and Louise Brown on May 28, 1928 in Gomez, Florida. After graduating from Vero Beach High School with honors she studied stenography and worked for the State of Florida. She met her husband Bob and they were married for 54 years until his passing. They had three children Brenda, David, and Mark. She was a homemaker and later worked for J.C. Penney. A member of Parkview Baptist Church for over 70 years, she served as a Sunday School teacher and a deacon’s wife. She was said to have had a “green thumb” like her mother and over the years family members enjoyed her gardening as well as her love of baking (especially her chicken and dumplings and biscuits).
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob and sons, David and Mark, as well as her sister, Frances Woodard and brothers, Richard and Bill Brown.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (Joe) Campbell; sister, Dot Stokes; grandchildren, Steven (Terri) Campbell, Jason Allbritton, Justin Allbritton, and Amanda Cambron; great-grandchildren, Owen Campbell (who was her special buddy), Zoland and Reagan Allbritton, Hayden Herndon, Larkin Allbritton, Brandon and Hudson Marquis, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkview Baptist Church, 403 Hayes Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34950.
