Betty Southard

Betty Joyce Southard, 67, of Tiger, Georgia passed away at Northeast Georgia Medical Center on Monday, March 12, 2007.She was born in Greenville, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late John Will Young and Clara Knot Young.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Billie Ruth Young.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, William Southard; 2 sons, Jack Thomas Southard of Vero Beach, FL and Terry Wayne Southard of Vero Beach, FL; 2 brothers, Donald Jack Young of Ft. Pierce, FL and John David Young of Tennessee. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, James, Thomas, Heather, and Brooke Southard.She was retired from the Ft. Pierce Police Department, employed part-time at Duvall Ford in Clayton, GA, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty Southard be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Youth Fund, 794 Davis Gap Road, Tiger, GA 30576.
