Betty Tappan, 82, died June 2, 2013, in Port St Lucie, Florida.
Betty was born in Lexington, Kentucky and was a resident of Port St Lucie FL for 12 years, coming from Sunrise, Florida.
She worked for IBM for 31 years and retired as a senior information developer and then became the owner of Tappan’s Limited Inc. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where she enjoyed working in the nursery. She loved giving and doing for others in her church community and was a surrogate grandma and aunt to many adoring children.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Les Tappan of Port St. Lucie, FL and her sister at heart, Lorraine Butler of Lexington, Kentucky.
