Bobby L Yates

Bobby L. Yates, 89 of Fort Pierce, FL died April 15, 2025.

Mr. Yates was born on January 25, 1936 in Ledford, IL, the son of Guy Sr. and Nancy (Dunn) Yates. He joined the US Air Force in 1956, serving in active administrative duty for three years, then in the Air Force reserves until 1962. He did maintenance work for a school district in IL before moving to Pompano Beach, FL where he did maintenance work for and retired from Imperial Point Medical Center in 1998. He enjoyed music, traveling, donating to muitiple charities and sending greeting cards to family members.

Mr. Yates was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Peggy Yates, parents, three brothers, and one sister. He is survived by a brother-in-law and numerous nephews and nieces.

There will be a military graveside service for Mr. Yates at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM.
