Boykin Gabriel Savoy Jr.

Boykin (Bill) Gabriel Savoy Jr. passed away on February 28^th of 2023 in Fort Pierce, FL to be with his Heavenly Father. He was born on 28^th of June, 1942 in New Iberia, Louisiana to Winnie Derouen Savoy and Boykin Gabriel Savoy Sr. After graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in Physics he went on to work as an engineer for NASA and companies such as Harris and Martin Marietta. He had a love of astronomy and enjoyed working outside in his yard. A Catholic of deep faith, he joined the Knights of Columbus at St. Anastasia Catholic Church and showed love, compassion, and empathy to all he met. Bill was a loving and hard-working father, grandfather, and great grandfather who fully embodied the love of Christ in his every deed.

He is predeceased by his parents, wife Brenda Savoy, sister Judith Durio, and grandson Landon Ladasic. He is survived by his sister Cheryl Dugas, as well as his children: Adele Netzorg, Elise Ladasic, Matthew Savoy, Elizabeth George Twiford, and Elaina Dahl. Bill, affectionately called Pawpaw, is survived by his grandchildren: Lauren McConnell, Andrea George, Joshua George, Alexandra Snyder, Eric Revello, Natasha Netzorg, Sommer Ladasic, and Tucker Netzorg; as well as his great grandchildren: Kalon Miller, Kaylee McConnell, Brent McConnell, and Skylar Snyder. He will be deeply missed by many.

A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Fort Pierce.  Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
