Brenda Phillips, 68 died July 2, 2011 at home in Okeechobee, Florida. She was born in Crumpler, West Virginia to Elda and Gay Roberts.
She moved to Fort Pierce, Florida in 1957and then to Okeechobee in 1986.She was a Fort Pierce substitute school teacher; owner operator of Phillips 66 Gas, Frontier Grocery, Phillips Harvesting of Fort Pierce and Big Lake Auto Sales & Service of Okeechobee. She attended Northside Baptist Church of Okeechobee.
Survivors include her sons, John Phillips (Katrena) and Donny Phillips; both of Okeechobee, Fl; daughter Michelle (Leve Arnold Jr) of Okeechobee, Fl; brother, Granville Roberts (Sue) of Altus, Ok; sister, Judy Douglas of Fort Pierce, Fl; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Al Phillips; sister, Jean Brady; brother, Ronnie Roberts; granddaughter, Misty Yavonne Phillips; grandson, Cody Wilcox and son-in-law, Robert Reichert.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Okeechobee.
Services: A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 10:00-12:00 noon at Haisley Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon with Pastor Arlen Cook officiating from Northside Baptist Church of Okeechobee. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
