Brett R. Baldwin passed away on October 26, 2022 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was the son of
the late Joseph and Dorothy Baldwin of Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Born in Delaware, Brett moved to Portsmouth RI where he grew up. He was a member of the
Boy Scouts Troop 50 where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduating from
Portsmouth High School, Brett enlisted in the Navy where he proudly served his country. He
was always a history buff, with a special emphasis on battles and war. This love of history made
it very difficult to play any trivia games with him, but it allowed him to speak with the veterans
with knowledge and understanding at the VA where he was employed.
Never a fan of the New England winters with snow, heavy coats and long pants, Brett and his
long time companion Yvonne moved to Florida. Brett enjoyed being able to go fishing, play
tennis and being able to wear shorts. He was always thankful for what he had, and who he was
with. Always the gentleman, courteous and respectful to others.
Brett leaves behind his longtime companion Yvonne Graves and her daughter Jacqueline
Camara both of Port St. Lucie, FL.
Brett also leaves behind his sister Dawn Goulet and brother in law Stephen Goulet;
Niece and nephew Channing and Alden Goulet, all of Situate, RI. Brett is predeceased by his
parents and sister Channing Baldwin.
Brett will be buried on November 15, at the South Florida Veterans National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
