Brian F. Haggerty, a loving father and husband, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, in Ft. Pierce, Florida, at the age of 67. Born on December 28, 1956, in Hartford, Connecticut, Brian touched the lives of many through his kind and generous spirit. He was known for his heart of gold, even though he had many struggles in his own life.
Brian dedicated 26 years of his life to the United States Post Office, where he became an integral part of the community. He served with pride in the United States Air Force, embodying the values of service and commitment. He moved to Florida in 1993, where he built a loving home for his family.
His devotion to family was paramount. He leaves behind his cherished wife of 25 years, Linda Haggerty of Port St. Lucie, FL, and two beloved daughters, Laura of CT and Sarah of FL. Brian will remain in the hearts of his siblings: John (Cindy) Haggerty of CT, Kevin (Nancy) Haggerty of CT, Mary Haggerty of CT, and Sheila (Bart) Craig of RI, along with sisters-in-law Debra (Michael) Riley of CT, Zofia Haggerty of CT, and Joanne (Larry) Graves of FL and brother-in-law, Steven (Debora) Jacobsen of CT, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
His family and friends will cherish the memory of his laughter and warmth, and they will forever remember him as the embodiment of love and kindness. Brian had a passion for sports, enjoying baseball, football, and playing golf, activities that he shared with friends and family.
Though Brian has departed, he has joined his parents, James and Margaret Haggerty, his brother James "Jimmy" Haggerty, and dear in-laws Elsie and Paul in heaven.
In celebrating Brian's life, we acknowledge the love he shared and the legacy of joy he leaves behind. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
His family will be forever grateful to the nurses and caregivers that loved and cared for him during his illness and the many wonderful friends who supported his family throughout this difficult time.
