Brown Lanier Johnson, Sr., 93, died March 27, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Johnson was born in Orlando, Florida and moved to Fort Pierce in 1969 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Brown, Sr. operated Mason Mountain Rhodolite Mine in Franklin, North Carolina from 1969-2010. He loved to dig for “gems” on the mountain with his big track hoe and on the home front he loved to tear down buildings with is track hoe. Most importantly, he was very generous, loved to help others and loved to share Jesus.
Survivors include his sons, Brown (Rhonda) Johnson of Fort Pierce, FL and Thomas (Ginger) Johnson of Franklin, NC; daughters, Sandra (James) Gibby of Sylva, NC and Deborah (Steve) Douthitt of Port St. Lucie, FL; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
