Mr. Christensen was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1968 coming from Warren, Michigan.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. He received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with 1 Star, the American Area Campaign Medal, Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Christensen of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Michael Joseph Christensen of Duluth, GA and Steven Eric Christensen of Vero Beach, FL; brother, Gunner Christensen of Stuart, FL and Troy, MI; sister, Sarah Holmes of Stuart, FL; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services: A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM at the South Florida Veterans Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida.
