Carl F. Smith, 73, died September 3, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Smith was born in Rich Square, North Carolina and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1980 coming from Homestead, Florida.
He was a member of the Brother Hood of Operating Engineers, Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Peggy Smith of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Candy (Mike) Herman of Belleview, FL, Kristina (Jason) Taylor of Haugen, WI; son, Danny Smith of Belleview, FL; sisters, Dezma Medlin of Lansdale, PA, Regina Dickens of Williamston, NC and Charlotte Wheeler of Jackson, NC; brother, Gerald Smith of Rich Square, NC; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Marcus Smith and sister, Carolyn Smith.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA of Stuart at 2400 S.E. Monterey Road, #300, Stuart, FL 34996.
Services: Memorial services will be held at a later date in Jackson, North Carolina.
