Carl Picken Kamerer, 88, died April 16, 2008 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mr. Kamerer was born in Cedar, Iowa and moved to Ft. Pierce 8 years ago coming from Ozark, Alabama.He was born and raised in Iowa, served in the U.S. Navy from 1939-1946 and in the U.S. Army from 1951-1969. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1985.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Bette Kamerer of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Carel Stiller of Ft. Pierce, FL and Tanny Ogren of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Bill Kamerer of Ozark, AL; sisters, Lola Mendell of Kansas City, MO and Lucille Wightman of Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Gustafson.Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home
