Carl "Buddy" Ward Jr.

Carl “Buddy” Ward, Jr., 58, passed away on January 17, 2021 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Buddy was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida.

He worked for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department for 33 years and was a member of their dive team. He was also a member of the St Lucie County Livestock Committee, past board member and coach for the Fort Pierce Little League, as well as a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a big jokester who loved to hunt, fish, and play softball. Buddy was happiest when he was with his children, grandchildren, and family.

Survivors include his wife, Dana Ward; daughters, Ashley & Heather Ward; son, Jared (Kalyn) Ward; father, Carl Ward, Sr. all of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Roslyn (Jerry) Blanton of North Carolina; brother, Doug (Sheryl) Ward of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Audra (Eric) Macon of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Whyatt Alley, Morgan Tomlinson, and Jamie Cole Tomlinson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Ward.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Explorers, Post 400, 4700 West Midway Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981 or the St. Lucie County Fair Association, 15601 Midway Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34945.

Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 PM with a service to follow at 3:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
