He was an SSG/E6 with the United States Army, serving in the Army for 30 years and worked for the DEA in Columbia for 5 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Nicole De La Cruz of Puerto Rico and Samantha De La Cruz of Columbia; sisters, Rosa Del Valle of New Jersey and Patricia Hernandez of New Jersey; and brother, Ricardo De La Cruz of Port St. Lucie, FL.
Services: Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
