Carol Bemenderfer, 73, of Ft. Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2010, following many years of courageous battle against cancer.
Carol’s greatest enjoyments were teaching Sunday School at her church, crafting and crocheting afghans for cancer patients, traveling, socializing with her friends in the Red Hat Society, and forging lifelong friendships with her sorority sisters of Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 21 years, Robert “Bobby” Bemenderfer, sisters Susie Eubanks (husband Lloyd) of Texas, and Robin Reeves of Illinois; loving sons Kurt Wahlen (wife Barb) and Brent Wahlen (wife Tessa) of Milwaukee, WI, Jeff Wahlen (wife Toni) of Morganton, NC, and Glen Wahlen (wife Ruth) of Orlando, FL, Bob “Bemen” Bemenderfer Jr. (wife Debbie), Taylor Bemenderfer (wife Andrea) of Ft. Pierce, FL, and daughter Mary Myers of Fayetteville, NC.
Grandchildren Krista, Kelly, Jennifer, Kurt, Jr., Jim, Missy, Mary, Kathleen, Sarah, Abbie, Bryant, Jeff, Jr., Danny, Andrew, Josh, Zachary, Sarah, Lauren, Christopher, Mark, Kari, Vincent, Robbie and Great-grandchildren, Alisha, Myah, Rylee, Skylar, Ella, Caleb, Bella, Celia, Olivia, Thomas, Chloe, Natalia, Abigail, Madison and Wesley all of whom brightened her smile and warmed her heart.
Visitation before services will begin Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 2pm, with the funeral services starting at 3pm at Haisley Funeral Home,3015 Okeechobee Rd., Fort Pierce, Florida. A reception will follow at the Haisley Fellowship Center.
