Carole Ruth De Jong, 76, died October 8, 2014 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. De Jong was born in Passaic County, New Jersey and moved to Fort Pierce in 1996 coming from Wayne, New Jersey.
She was a fun loving person who loved people and brought light to whomever she met.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Maynard De Jong of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Sandra Briggs of Maui, Hawaii; brother, Robert Herman of Prospect Park, NJ; sister-in-law, June Oskamp of Sussex, NJ; brothers-in-law, Martin De Jong of Eaton, GA, William De Jong of Littleton, CO, Peter De Jong of Burlington Flats, NY and Edward De Jong of Sussex, NJ; and 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James Aaron De Jong and brother-in-law, Robert Kenneth De Jong.
