Mrs. Hartley was born in New Bern, North Carolina and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1976 after her husband’s retirement from the U.S. Air Force.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Ft. Pierce, past District Florida Governor of Pilot Club International, active member of the Pilot Club of Ft. Pierce, past president of the Florida Association of Nursing Home Administrators, and she also started with Abbiejean Russell Care Center in 1976 and retired as Administrator in 2002.Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Jim Hartley of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Patty & Bobbie Wallace of Ft. Pierce, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Jim & Chris Hartley of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Joey Sweat, Alex Marie and Chase Hartley; great-grandson, Gabriel Sweat; and mother Polly Arthur of Ft. Pierce, FL.
