Cary “Sonny” Nash, 64, died July 31, 2012 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Nash was born in Greencastle, Indiana and grew up in Spencer, Indiana. He moved to Ft. Pierce six years ago coming from Indianapolis.
He proudly served two terms with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he worked at Westinghouse in Bloomington and later worked for Corning Glass in Bluffton and National Starch in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Greenwood Christian Church and enjoyed being part of the media ministry. He was a fan of auto racing, golf, and Southport Little League.
Survivors include his spouse, Dr. Iris Crider-Nash; daughters, Chris (Gary) Gray and Tyler (Glen) Crider-Hall; sisters, Mary (Rick) Ferry of Florida and Tilly Bowman of Indianapolis. He is also survived by grandchildren: Parker, Sterling, Nicholas, Maxwell, Trey Andre, and Izabella, several nieces and nephews, as well as, many other relatives all of whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert & Gilberta Nash, step-father, Lester Humphry, and brother, Jerry Nash.
Services: A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
