Cecelia (Cessy) Gersdorf, 73, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away due to a recurring Cancer on September 18, 2021.
Cessy was Born in the Bronx N.Y. and was the third and youngest of the three daughters (Maryann Bennett and Rosemary Ambrosio, other Sisters) of parents, Ralph and Cecelia Ambrosio. She graduated Valedictorian from Dodge High School in the Bronx, N.Y. in 1966, got married right out High School to Klaus Gersdorf and had been a Loving and Faithfull wife of 55 Blessed years.
Cessy leaves behind her Husband, Klaus; her Daughters, Kelley Monfils and Andrea Feierabend, she also leaves behind Son, Christopher Gersdorf; three Grandchildren, Timothy Monfils, Kimberly Matherly and Jennifer Feierabend; she also leaves behind a Great Granddaughter never seen Elizabeth Monfils and will miss seeing her new Great Granddaughter, Katerina, Kimberly’s Daughter due in October; as well as loving Sister in-law, Renate Faber Willis, Brother in-law Roland Bennett; Nieces, Michal Bennett, Dierdre Emptage, Shana Quinones, and Paula Sklavenitis; and Nephews, Jevon and Damien Bennett.
Cessy will also be missed by several good Friends; Josie and Jerry Chiavelli, Susan Carlucci, Susan and Art Randell, Pat and Debbie, Sandy and Vinny, Richard and Linda, Bob and Cathy, Elaine and John and others; also by good Friends; Bolivar (Marty) San Martin, Ray and Lori in California; and good Neighbors, Mark Anthony and Aunt Jacky, Tony and Barbara, John and Sue, Gwen, Sue, Helen and others.
Cessy was a Christian involved as a Prayer Warrior at Woodlands Church in Texas at the beginning of their opening until 2014, before we moved to Florida from Texas. She met several good friends there such as Robin and Larry Muller, Roe and Bob Taylor, Heidi and Bob Marlow, Carol and Ed Chance, Jackson, Dawn and Rhonda and other Church Family Members.
Cessy was a kind and giving person, she would spend her money on her children and grandchildren before she would spend it on herself. She was my better half for 55 years of marriage and kept me in line. Cessy loved to Travel; she went to Hawaii, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Mexico. She loved the beach, especially Laguna Beach in California. She also loved the Jetty in Fort Pierce and her favorite restaurants in Palm Beach CA and Shuckers.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 9, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Due to COVID and Social Distancing only Family Members and Good Friends will be invited to the Main Chapel and others may come, but have to congregate in adjacent Rooms where TV broadcast and refreshments will be available.
No need to send Flowers except from Family Members, just bring your Heart. A short Reception will follow.
