Cecil Carlyle Alleyne Sr. passed away at home on August 5th, 2020.
Born June 11, 1928 in San Fernando, Trinidad to Edward and Beatrice Alleyne, he displayed an early interest in learning and exploring. Throughout his life, he was a teacher, administrator, diplomat and lawyer. He chose to make Port St. Lucie his home in 2005.
Cecil had a keen interest in current affairs, and was an avid gardener who enjoyed listening to music and doing crossword puzzles. He was a tennis player for many years and in his later years enjoyed watching both tennis and soccer.
He was an optimist who always saw the glass as half full. He also believed that you could achieve anything you desired if you put your mind to it, and believed in second chances. Finally, but certainly not least, he was a man of faith who spent time in daily commune with God. We celebrate his life knowing that he dedicated it to God and we stand together in the belief that he is now in Paradise with Him.
Cecil is survived by his wife Veronica, children Keith (London, UK), Courtney Lewis (Maryland), Carol and her husband David Reisner (Florida), Celia and her husband O’Brian Ebanks (Kingston, Jamaica), Carlyle (London, UK), Cecil Jr. (New York), Siblings: Clyde, Victor, Yvonne, Michael, Thora, Russel, Grace & Ralph (Bill); sisters-in-law Joyce Clarkson, Norma Hylton and other relatives .
