Cecilia Yadira Gamez Aguilera, 44, passed away on May 27, 2023 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Cecilia was born in La Yerbabuena, Michoacan, Mexico on July 31, 1978. She attended Fort Pierce Central High School, where she graduated in 1997. She went on to work in ESL Technical Support at Indian River State College for 25 years. She was also a member of San Juan Diego Pastoral Center.

Cecilia, a single woman, loved to dance, go to the movies, and spend time with her family. Her favorite character was Winnie the Pooh. Cecilia was a humble and quiet person who enjoyed helping students learning English as a second language.

Cecilia was preceded in passing by her parents, Bonifacio Gamez Perez and Maria C. Gamez Aguilera. She is survived by her sisters, Maria D Licea of California, Rosa E. Aguilera, Irma Gamez, Silvia Gamez, Angelica M. Barron, Ana Gamez, and Maria L. Mujica all of Fort Pierce, FL; as well as 20 nieces and nephews, 3 uncles, and many cousins.

A visitation will be held at Haisley Funeral Home on June 4^th, 2023 from 5 PM to 7 PM. A funeral mass will be held on June 5^th, 2023 at San Juan Diego Hispanic Ministry at 1 PM. A burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
